Meals on Wheels of Hancock County

Meals on Wheels of Hancock County is a nonprofit medically tailored meal delivery program in Indiana. Weekend meals delivered Fridays. mealsonwheelsonline.org

Serving Hancock County residents who wish to remain in their homes and communities yet need help with daily meal prep. We prevent food insecurity and provide peace of mind with daily check-ins. Meals delivered Mon through Fri, with the exception of major holidays. Available short-term (10 days min) or long-term. Option of 2 to 5 days per week. No age limit or income restrictions.

For 25 years, Meals on Wheels of Hancock County has been doing exactly that. Showing up at front doors. Showing up with a warm meal. Showing up with a smile, a quick conversation, and a reminder that someone cares.

But behind every meal delivered is a community that decided no neighbor should feel forgotten.

Please join us in welcoming Kelli Wilson to the Meals on Wheels of Hancock County Board of Directors! 💛

A Licensed Social Worker who has worked with older adults, Kelli says: “I’m passionate about supporting older adults by helping them remain connected, independent, and engaged in their communities… I hope to use my professional experience, community connections, and passion for serving older adults to help further the mission of Meals on Wheels and make a meaningful difference for B the clients we serve.”

Her experience advocating for older adults and connecting them with resources will strengthen our mission in real, everyday ways. Welcome aboard, Kelli!

Beyond the hot meal itself, what stood out most was how much they looked forward to the volunteers’ visits that daily connection meant as much to them as the food did.”

What a wonderful surprise! 💛 The team at Leo's Market & Eatery – Central Kitchen chose to personally donate to Meals on Wheels of Hancock County — and Leo's matched their generosity. Getting to meet this big-hearted crew truly made our week.

There's a beautiful story behind it, too. the Corporate Executive Chef, has a terrific team that made us feel like family. Rod learned to cook with his grandmother while she was preparing meals in connection with Meals on Wheels in Indianapolis. Sometimes the small things truly set us on the path to our future. Today, we’re proud to shine a light on Condra, a familiar face and a powerful force for good throughout Hancock County.

Heather serves our community as the Executive Director of Greenfield Main Street , helping bring people, businesses, and opportunities together in the heart of Greenfield. And somehow, she still makes time to volunteer with Meals on Wheels of Hancock County.
In this video, Heather talks about the part of volunteering that means the most to her. The connection with clients who may not get to see or speak with someone every day.

From the earliest volunteers and community gatherings to the routes still running today, this mission has been built by people who chose to care, serve, and keep showing up for their neighbors. The faces may change. The years may pass. But the heart of the mission remains the same.
