▶▶▶CALLING ALL JOB HUNTERS! ◀◀◀ Applications for the Weatherization Technician Training Program are OPEN!

In Community Action Pioneer Valley's Weatherization Technician Training program, participants will receive individual career navigation support, free training, certification, supplies & materials AND on the job training leading to full time employment!

The program spans 5 weeks and will be held from August 3rd - September 3rd 2026, Monday - Thursday from 8:30-3PM at Greenfield Community College.

Participants will be issued a stipend to cover basic expenses during the training.
Please share the flyer and link with anyone who might be interested in joining the program.

📍 Based at Greenfield Family Resource Center within Community Action Family Center | Community Action Pioneer Valley

The Family Resource Center (FRC) is a vibrant, community based, family focused program that supports parents, caregivers, and their children from birth to 18 years old. The FRC connects caregivers to the tools, services, and advocacy they need to thrive. We provide a holistic array of activities for families that include support groups for caregivers, playgroups, evidenced based parenting groups, school support, as well as arts, cultural, and recreational activities.

Are you the parent or caregiver of a child who has faced emotional, behavioral, or physical challenges? Have you ever felt alone navigating complex systems while advocating for your child? If so, your experience is invaluable-and you're not alone. Many caregivers in our community are walking a similar path, and they could use someone who's been there.

This is a peer position, for a candidate with lived experience. This role is a unique opportunity to turn your journey into meaningful support for other families.

Starting salary: $38,000-$44,000/year

As a Family Partner:

You Will:

-Work collaboratively with the FRC Clinician and staff to complete the CANS Assessment and develop Family Support Plans

-Offer emotional support and encouragement to families, helping them engage natural supports

-Help carry out and oversee Family Support Plans, prioritizing families involved with Children Requiring Assistance (CRA)

-Provide direct support services at the FRC, in family homes, or in the community

-Guide families through complex systems including DCF, DMH, and juvenile justice

-Promote self-advocacy, empowerment, and connection to community-based resources

-Facilitate referrals to peer support, parent groups, and other helpful networks

Looking for a fun, creative way to celebrate Pride Month and prepare for the parade? Stop by our Gear Up for Pride drop-in event. Families are invited to join us for an afternoon of crafts, connection, and community.

Check out this free & awesome program offered through Greenfield Recreation Home Alone Safety

We are just a week away from the Home Alone Safety courses! This one day course, offered on two separate days, helps prepare children for independence and staying at home by themselves. Taught by members of the Greenfield Police and Fire Departments, this program prepares kids for situations that can happen when staying home alone. Parents are encouraged to attend alongside their children.
