UPDATE: This sweet pup was returned back home! Turns out his electric collar's battery died which lead him on his grand adventure 😁

Hello everyone!

Police dogs help Greenfield officers relieve stress amid pandemic

Round of Appaws for Anna Therapy Dog and Gizmo Therapy Dog who were featured on Fox 6 News last night. In just the short time we’ve had these pups we’ve already noticed a difference in our department as well as in the community! NONE of this would be possible without the AMAZING and GENEROUS donation from the Stan Kass Memorial Fund. Thank you so much to Michael Kass and the Stan Kass Memorial Fund for providing our agency with Anna and Gizmo! They truly have supported all of us throughout this crazy year! Dogs are just like that, they know how to fix you without saying a word!

Two furry faces are helping the Greenfield Police Department relieve some stress caused by the challenges in 2020. The simple sight of a dog can turn a day around. Goldendoodles Ana and Gizmo are the new therapy dogs for the Greenfield Police Department.

If you planned on going to the Parkway for a run, loiter, or host an impromptu Renaissance Faire because this years was canceled and we as a society were cheated out of that experience, we’d suggest you bring your swim suit and water wingys because get this ...the Wetlands... are flooded. Shocking we know.

Our Swift and Rapid Water Or Other Liquid Substance Rescue Unit (SARWOOLSRU) all took off today so unfortunately you’ll be on your own.

Be safe!

Dear Veterans,

Those of us who have not served will never fully understand the sacrifices you've made both in times of war and peace. We will never fully understand what you were required to do or how you were able to do it. We will never understand the depth of your scars. But we can offer you is this: WE SEE YOU. We recognize your humanity and we send you thanks and love that is gentle patient, and healing. With gratitude we ask that you remember you are loved. THANK YOU!

Accidental 9-1-1 misdials!!

If you accidentally set off your emergency SOS or accidentally call 911 please do not hang up. Basically the moment your phone sends out the signal whether you hear it connect or not the call usually still comes through to a dispatch center. After receiving a 911 hang up we still have to attempt to call back and locate you to ensure you’re safe. We ask you please remain on the line and inform us it was an accident. It can be very time consuming and man power intensive to begin to attempt to track the call and person who called 911. We have no issue with it when someone truly needs help but if it can be avoided for an accidental misdial please help us out! Don’t worry you won’t get in trouble for accidentally calling, it happens!!

Have a blessed day everyone!

Good morning everyone!

We'd like to take a moment to remind everyone to please lock your vehicles over night. We have had an uptick in vehicle's being rummaged through and the vast, vast majority if not all have been on unlocked vehicles and not from breaking windows. We are currently investigating any leads we have but we do ask to please remember to take any change, valuables, bags, or anything that could possibly be perceived as valuable to someone from your vehicle and lock it up over night. They are not localized to one particular part of the city so no matter the area you live, please try to remember to do so.

Thank you and have a phenomenal day!
