GPL Zine Club Presents: Comics Workshop with Ashley Jablonski, Wednesday, Sep 2, 6:00 pm
Join us on Wednesday, September 2 at 6:00 pm for GPL Zine Club. Get a crash course in creating comics with Vermont artist and teacher Ashley Jablonski! No experience necessary, all supplies provided. Ages 13+.

GPL’s Zine Club is an ongoing bi-monthly meeting to learn new zine skills, share your work, and meet other zinesters. What’s a zine again? A zine is a DIY, self-published, print work, often on a subject that falls outside of what’s traditionally seen in publishing.

This program is free, but space is limited and pre registration is recommended. Register at: https://greenfieldpl.libcal.com/event/15973588.

For more information, contact Jesse Cole at [email protected], or call (413) 772-1544 x5122.

Monday evening in the Makerspace!
Roundhouse Drop In Finishing Clinic, Monday, August 31, 5:00 - 7:00 pm
Come to the GPL Makerspace and finish up any projects you plan on entering in the Franklin County Fair’s Roundhouse, on Monday, August 31, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Artists and crafters Danielle and Francesca will be available to give you a hand.

You are welcome to drop your projects off at this time, too, and we will deliver them to the fairgrounds for you.
This class is part of our Summer Roundhouse Series. Participants are encouraged to use the skills they’ve learned to make a project to enter at this fall’s Franklin County Fair. We will hold sessions in mid-August to assist with framing and entering arts and crafts into the Roundhouse. Participants may also use the Makerspace and classroom materials throughout the summer.
Pre-registration is encouraged: greenfieldpl.libcal.com/event/17240924
This program, made possible thanks to a grant from the Greenfield Local Cultural Council and the Franklin County Fair , is free and intended for teens and adults, ages 13+. No experience is necessary.

Choose Your Own Adventure: A “Pick Your Own Book” Club, with Zoey Erickson
Wednesday, September 2, 6:30 pm, Conference Room
Join community member Zoey Erickeson at the GPL on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm, for a different type of book club! Rather than having a host or moderator decide on a book to read each month, readers will choose their own book based on a monthly theme.

September’s Theme: A biography or memoir about someone you’ve never heard of.

Join us and discover what your neighbors are reading!

For more information, contact Pamela McBride at [email protected] or call (413) 772-1544.

This program is free and intended for ages 14+.
