Let's give a big welcome to our newest board member, Beth Burris.

Born and raised in Hancock County, Beth has a deep appreciation for the people and community she proudly calls home. She enjoys supporting and serving individuals of all ages and brings a wealth of experience to her volunteer role with the Women’s Resource Center. Her career includes service with two Central Indiana continuing care retirement communities, as well as more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources management and leadership.

A lifelong learner and graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, Beth understands the many challenges women face while balancing family, work, education, health, and community responsibilities. She believes in the power of hope and recognizes that meaningful connections and a strong sense of community are essential to a healthy, fulfilling life.

Beth feels honored to serve the women of Hancock County as a volunteer with the Women’s Resource Center and is passionate about helping others find support, encouragement, and hope.

We were truly blessed to have the opportunity to attend the Buck Creek Township Back to School Night! ❤️

It was wonderful meeting so many amazing families, seeing all the smiling faces, and getting to know more women in our community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit with us and learn more about the Women’s Resource Center. We look forward to continuing to build relationships and serve the women and families of Hancock County.

Motherhood can be incredibly demanding. The mental load of parenting and the constant pressure to “do it all” can leave many families feeling overwhelmed. If you’re struggling to keep up with the endless needs of your household, please know you’re not alone.

You shouldn’t have to choose between putting food on the table and buying school supplies for your children.

Join us this coming Tuesday at Buck Creek Township’s Back-to-School Night & Open House! We will be set up in the fire department bay and look forward to meeting more members of our community and helping Hancock County women prepare for the new school year.

The Women’s Resource Center Personal Care Pantry is currently in urgent need of essential items, and we need your help.

Every day, women in our community turn to us during some of the most difficult moments in their lives. Many are struggling to afford even basic hygiene and household necessities while working to overcome unexpected challenges.

Your donation of paper towels, toilet paper, antibacterial wipes, toothbrushes, and toothpaste helps us provide more than just essential supplies—it offers comfort, dignity, hope, and the reassurance that someone cares.

As we work to rebuild our pantry, every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the women and families we serve. Thank you for helping us continue to be a source of support and encouragement in our community.

This rich tapestry of diversity not only enhances our approach but also offers a wide-ranging perspective on the various challenges encountered by women within the community. By drawing on our distinct viewpoints, we are better equipped to understand and address the specific issues that affect women, ultimately fostering a more inclusive environment for all.
