There is something powerful about being heard.

Our upcoming student anthology, I Kept Going: Stories of Struggle, Strength & Hope, is a collection of stories, reflections, and creative work written by students of The Literacy Project.

As Colette Lefebvre Davis, high school equivalency teacher and co-editor of the anthology, shares in her editor’s letter, this collection is more than completed assignments. It is a record of courage, growth, and lived experience.

Each piece reflects the determination, resilience, and voice of our students. Many of them are balancing work, family, and personal challenges, while continuing to show up, learn, and create.

This anthology is a celebration of that commitment. 💚

Graduation is more than a moment. It is everything that leads up to it.

Every class attended.
Every test taken.
Every step forward.

Our students are putting in the work right now, and it shows.

In May, we celebrate all they have accomplished. 🎓

April Fools’ Day might be about surprises but there’s nothing surprising about what’s possible with access to education.

As many of our students prepare for upcoming tests and graduation milestones, they continue to show what dedication and persistence can achieve.

At The Literacy Project, we’re here to support them every step of the way.

As the seasons change, learning continues.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that believes in supporting adults as they build skills, confidence, and new opportunities at their own pace and in their own way.

Thank you for being part of this work and for helping make learning accessible and welcoming.

What helps learning feel possible?

For many adults, it’s small classes, patient instruction, and an environment where it’s okay not to have all the answers right away.

At The Literacy Project, we work to create spaces where learning feels steady, supportive, and rooted in respect.
