I dunno who put these little q***r fliers in my little blue box, but THANK YOU!!
I've also noticed LGBTQ materials that I didn't put in there. I put a number of books in there, but new ones that *I* didn't place makes me dance.
Someone even brought 2 DVDs! It's a multimedia library now!
I am so happy to see that it's getting more rainbow traffic.
A fresh new book from Hannah Willow has got a spot in the box ready for the taking. It's a Hallmark type romance, a mash up of bakery competition with a Parent Trap subplot. Two women, one with a small town bakery and the other with a larger bakery franchise, have a meet-cute at a bar, later discovering the one woman might seek to expand her franchise to the other's small town. The threat of a turf war derails the romance, but unbeknownst to them, their adopted daughters meet and become thicker than thieves--and not only that, they're twins separated at birth!
I'm an audiobook narrator as well, and Hannah Willow has contracted me for the audiobook (still in production). I'm doubly excited for this book.
Stop on by and enjoy some wonderful books. Q***r, Straight, Fantasy, Fiction, Educational, and Historical, with a nice little selection of children's books. Happy Holidays!
Come see what new goodies we picked up. We'd stopped by the Milwaukee Central Public Library's used books store and got a lot of great books for excellent prices. We gotta say, if you're itching to spend money on books, there's no better place to shop than their store. You can feel good knowing the money is going to a public institution focused on literacy and learning.
We buy and provide these books for you, free of charge. There are no return dates, fees, or expectations, only that no one vandalizes our little library. The Little Free Library slogan is "Take A Book, Leave A Book." If you can't Leave A Book, that's ok, too. These books are yours to share, to keep, to return--the important thing is that you & your littles are reading and feeding your brain and flexing your imagination.
