At 9:33 PM, all closures have reopened. Thanks to Indiana Department of Transportation: East Central for all of their hard work cleaning up this slippery situation.

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE

**UPDATED INFO**

Westbound Main Street (US40) is being closed from Apple Street to State Street (SR9). Westbound traffic should use Apple Street North to McKenzie Road to continue West.

Northbound State Street (SR9) is being closed at Main Street (US40) to North Street. Northbound traffic should take Davis Road West to Franklin Street North to McKenzie Road then East to State Street.

Southbound State Street is being diverted at McKenzie Road. Traffic should use McKenzie Road to either Apple Street or Franklin Street south to Davis Road.

This emergency closure is to clean up a spill of animal fat. This spill has turned the roadway into an ice skating rink!

There is no estimate at this time on how long the roads will be closed. INDOT and IDEM are managing the cleanup. Expect this closure to be in place for a few hours.
