as a member of the CWMARS network. Items can be requested from other libraries in the area, the state, or nation-wide. We are happy to help you find something entertaining to read or watch or assist you with information searches. We have laptops that are available to the public every hour we are open for use on our front lawn (weather permitting) and wifi that is available 24/7. Books, DVDs, CDs, Playaways, Magazines, eBooks, eAudios, Online Databases, Public Computers, WiFi, Children's Programs

Youth Job Counselors from MassHire will be on hand on Wednesday, June 3, from 3:30 - 5:00 pm to help you draft your very first resume or workshop a pre-existing resume. You’ll come away with a lifelong skill. Plus we’ll be serving cookies and lemonade to keep the stress at bay.

Join local artist Danielle Lucier for this fun and engaging sketching class on Friday, June 5, at 3:00 pm. Participants will learn how to sketch using pencils and pastels using their favorite local landmarks and landscapes as inspiration. All materials will be provided.
This class is part of our Summer Roundhouse Series. Participants are encouraged to use the skills they’ve learned to make a project to enter at this fall’s Franklin County Fair. We will hold sessions in mid-August to assist with framing and entering arts and crafts into the Roundhouse. Participants may also use the Makerspace and classroom materials throughout the summer.
This program, made possible thanks to a grant from the Greenfield Local Cultural Council and the Franklin County Fair , is free and intended for teens and adults, ages 13+. No experience is necessary.

DO YOU LIKE TO SING? Join the Healing Harmonies Choir on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month in the GPL’s Conference Room.

We are an informal singing group designed for individuals with diagnosed neurological conditions, particularly those experiencing communication problems due to voice, language, or speech disorders. Caregivers are also welcome to attend and participate.

Some possible conditions may include:
Parkinson's Disease
Stroke
Traumatic/Acquired Brain Injury - Dementia
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
ALS
Multiple Sclerosis

This group is free and open to all.

Today! Join Willis McCumber at the Greenfield Public Library's Community Meeting Room on Saturday, May 30 at 11:00 am, for an all-ages presentation of dinosaur tracks, as well as related trace fossils and sedimentary structures, from the CT River Valley.
Willis will show specimens that range from the dramatic and striking to the subtle and cryptic; other samples include armored mud balls, ripple marks, raindrop impressions, mud cracks, and slime. Some specimens can even be held and touched! His presentation will include a slide show with photographs of local rock outcrops maps and diagrams showing the ancient tectonic setting and paleo-environment information about dinosaur evolution images of contemporary avian dinosaurs and their tracks.
A Q&A will follow the presentation.
Willis McCumber is a geology and paleontology enthusiast living in Turners Falls, MA. For the last three years he has been exploring dinosaur tracks and other fossils in the field. He holds a PhD in American Literature from SUNY Buffalo.
This free program is open to all ages and is sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library.
