We enjoyed breakfast this morning at City Hall with other City departments as we gathered to welcome Officer Ben Marsh back to Greenfield. Officer Marsh put in a tremendous amount of work to achieve the top academic honor at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy, and we’re excited to have him back serving the Greenfield community.

Nodaway Valley Safety Night is coming!
The Greenfield Police Department is excited to partner with our local first responders and community to bring families together for an evening of safety education, demonstrations, activities and fun for all ages.
We’re looking for community support to help provide meals and giveaways for the kids. Donations of money, food, giveaway items or other resources are greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to Officer Ben Marsh on successfully graduating from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy today!
We are proud to welcome Ben back to Greenfield and look forward to having him serve our community as a member of the Greenfield Police Department. His dedication to this profession and commitment to serving others are already evident, and we are excited for what lies ahead.

Anyone know this gentleman? His dog (pictured) is running loose in town and the tags are from SD. Dog is very friendly. Please have him contact the police department 641-743-2323

During the early morning hours Monday, several teens were out in Greenfield between midnight and approximately 5:00 a.m. They were recorded on residential security cameras and cameras at City Park, as well as observed by residents who were beginning their workday as early as 4:15 am. According to residents, many of the teens were dressed in black.
City ordinance places responsibility on both minors and the adults responsible for them. Please review the hours below and discuss these expectations with your children.

Please take a look at the below for traffic control after the grandstand events. Stay Safe

We hope everyone is enjoying the 2026 Adair County Fair! Over the weekend, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office and Greenfield Police Department will be assisting with traffic control after the conclusion of the grandstand events. Please refer to the picture and this post for flow of traffic recommendations.

South Bound Traffic: Stay on NE Elm Street and make the turn south onto NE 6th Street (Highway 25). Be patient so that cross traffic on NE 6th Street can be moved along as needed.

North Bound Traffic: Turn right at NE 7th Street and take the street around to NE Dodge Street. From NE Dodge Street you can then turn north onto NE 6th Street.

Please buckle up and put your phones down when you get behind the wheel. We appreciate your help so that traffic can flow safely and efficiently at the conclusion of the grandstand events.
