Our tornado shelter was opened by GPD as soon as the tornado warning was issued, and many residents took shelter tonight. Thankfully the rotation passed over our city with minimal damage. I have been doing assessments with our police officers and fire personnel. The middle school and high school lost power during the storm. , we notified SWEPCO. Also a pole is damaged on Wilson but it is still live, Ozarks Power notified.. Be careful walking around due to high wind damage and possible power lines down. Report any damages as found.
