North Fork Women Organization helping lesbians on the North Fork of Long Island, NY Mission Statement:

The North Fork Women For Women Fund, Inc.

is a 501 (c)(3) community-based not-for-profit organization of volunteers founded in 1992. NFWFWF provides healthcare grants and offers financial assistance and personal support to lesbians on the North Fork of Long Island, New York who are facing emergency health situations; difficulties caused by aging, illness, disability, or disruptions of physical or mental well-being; and those with inadequa

te or no health insurance. NFWFWF also provides crisis grants for financial assistance to cover expenses for lesbians on the North Fork who are experiencing non-healthcare related emergency situations. NFWFWF is committed to health advocacy and education, and develops activities and programs that foster the social and community life of lesbians on the North Fork.

First Friday Friends is heading to the roof deck! ⚓️✨

Join us Friday, September 4, from 6:00–7:30-ish p.m. at Smuggler’s Cove in Greenport. We’ll gather on the second-floor roof deck overlooking Sterling Basin and the marina—come enjoy the view, catch up with friends and meet some new ones!

A very special thank-you to Marianne Kristoff, whose generous sponsorship is providing the small bites for us to enjoy. Additional food and drinks will be available for purchase at the cash bar. 💛

Smuggler’s Cove is located at the end of Safe Harbor Marina, in the former Porto Bello location at 1410 Manhanset Avenue.

North Fork Women presented a 2026 Anne MacKay Scholarship to four deserving public high school seniors.

The scholarships were awarded to each student based on their transcript, recommendations, interviews, and essay on inclusion and diversity. We applaud all four winners and we would like to thank all candidates for their applications and thoughtful submissions.

HIKE! • This Sunday, 8/16 at 10:30 am at North Fork Preserve County Park, 5330 Sound Ave, Aquebogue.
Join us for a hike through this hidden gem of the county park preserve system. It's home to plenty of Long Island’s native flora and fauna and offers incredible birding. An optional lunch follows at Buoy One Restaurant in Riverhead.

First Friday Friends: Tonight, 8/7! American Beech has reserved the Black Llama patio for tonight’s August FFF. It's just across from their outdoor tiki bar and the 1943 Pizza. We show up at 6 pm and it goes to 7:30-ish p.m. Stay longer if you like. Drinking is not necessary, just bring yourself — the company can't be beat.

The Black Llama Patio is located outside of American Beech in Sterlington Sq., 302 Main Stl, Unit C, in Greenport.

Please join us for First Thursday Friends at the beautiful One Woman Wines and Vineyards located at 5195 Old North Rd, Southold, to celebrate the start of the holiday weekend on Thursday July 2nd from 6-8pm.

If you’re a w**e-lover, this is the perfect opportunity to taste One Woman’s highly-celebrated white, red, and rosé w**es. In addition to w**e, the tasting room offers b**r and a variety of cocktails and mocktails for purchase. As usual, North Fork Women is sponsoring an array of tasty appetizers, thanks to Chiqui Cartagena!

Greenport was filled with color and community spirit Saturday as the fourth annual North Fork Pride Parade and Festival brought thousands of residents and visitors together for an afternoon of celebration, music and connection.

This year's event also honored the people and organizations who have helped build North Fork Pride since its founding. Grand marshals included founder Lori Panarello, who was recognized in spirit but was unable to attend in person, along with North Fork Women, Linda Kessler and Stanley Lomangino. Together, they represent the leadership, advocacy and community support that have helped Pride grow into one of the North Fork's signature annual events. Photojournalist Jeremy Garretson was on hand to capture all the excitement.
