✨🌜For all the night owls still scrolling…

It’s late, but I wanted to get the auction catalog posted so you can scroll through it tonight and decide what you’ll be fighting over tomorrow. 😉🔥

We’ve been working hard and have some good stuff for you this year!

✨Doors open at 8:00 AM, so set those alarms, grab some coffee, and bring the family down to spend the day with us.

Every bid, and every dollar raised, helps support our volunteer fire department as we work toward a new building, with upgraded equipment and improvements along the way to better serve our community.

Now go look through that catalog…and we’ll see you in the morning! 🌞

It’s been a tough few weeks for our community, and we know many of our neighbors are still dealing with the aftermath of the flooding.

We hope you’ll join us, this Saturday, for our 3rd Annual Flame Feastival. Let’s come together for a day of good food, fun, laughter, and a little positivity. Let the kids play, spend some time with your neighbors, and give ourselves a chance to simply enjoy being together.

After a difficult few weeks for our community, we could all use a little joy.

These numbers only tell only part of the story.

During the historic flooding that started on August 12th, our dispatchers at Wayne County 911 worked through an extraordinary surge in emergency communications. In just 24 hours, they handled 459 911 calls, 599 administrative calls received, 341 outgoing calls, and 574 calls for service entered into CAD, including 81 water rescues.

But behind every one of those numbers was a dispatcher answering a phone, gathering critical information, coordinating resources, and helping keep both the public and our responders safe.

And on the other end of those radios were the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, water rescue teams, highway crews, emergency management personnel, and other first responders who went out into dangerous conditions to help their neighbors.

Many worked long hours under extremely challenging circumstances. They adapted as conditions changed, supported one another, and continued answering calls for help throughout an event our community will not soon forget.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork shown by our dispatchers, first responders, and partner agencies.

To everyone who answered the phone, keyed the radio, climbed into a rescue boat, responded to a flooded roadway, checked on a neighbor, or helped keep our communities safe, thank you!
