Please ensure that your children are properly prepared for the cold weather tomorrow morning at bus stops and during commutes.

Our Dual Language program is celebrating 6 years and our first graduating class. Look how far we've come. Special thanks to our Dual Language Curriculum Facilitator, Analia Wells, and our first 5th grade Dual Language teacher, Yazmin Ruiz, for providing interviews.

Greetings Hunter Families! This is Principal Walton with a few important announcements.

We will host Polar Express Day for our students on Thursday, December 21st. Students can donate $1 to United Way and receive hot chocolate and a snack.

Looking ahead, school will be closed for winter break December 22nd – January 2nd. Students will return to school on Wednesday, January 3rd.

Our next HPPO parent meeting is Tuesday, January 9th. We invite our families to join us at 6:00 p.m. in the Hunter Media Center.

Attention 2nd Grade Families. On Wednesday, Second Graders will have God/Goddess Day to Celebrate all the Greek Myths we have learned about this month. Students will participate in a Parade to show off their knowledge. Parents, we need your help! Students have a list of all the Gods/Goddesses with their "superpower." Help bring a character to life by dressing up like them on Wednesday, December 13th.

The Fresh Mobile Market will be in the Hunter bus parking lot on Thursday. Families can select from fresh produce, bread, meat, and shelf-stable items. The market is available to Hunter families on the 2nd Thursday of every month from 11:00 – 1:00.

Tendremos el Dia Polar Express para nuestros estudiantes el jueves 21 de diciembre. Los estudiantes pueden donar un dólar ($1) para el United Way y recibir chocolate caliente y un snack.

Mas adelante, la escuela estará cerrada por las vacaciones de invierno desde el 22 de diciembre al 2 de enero. Los estudiantes regresaran a la escuela el miércoles 3 de enero.
Nuestra próxima reunión de padres del HPPO es el martes 9 de enero. Invitamos a nuestras familias a unírsenos en la biblioteca de la escuela a las 6:00 de la tarde.

Atención familias de 2do Grado. El miércoles los estudiantes de segundo grado tendrán un Dia de los Dioses/Diosas para celebrar los mitos griegos de los cuales han aprendido este mes. Los estudiantes participaran en un desfile para demostrar su conocimiento. ¡Padres, necesitamos su ayuda! Los estudiantes tienen una lista de los Dioses/Diosas con sus “superpoderes”. Ayude a darle vida a un personaje vistiéndolo como ellos el miércoles 13 de diciembre.

El Mercado Fresco Ambulante estará en el estacionamiento de autobuses de Hunter el jueves. Las familias pueden seleccionar productos frescos, panes, carnes y otros artículos. El mercado está disponible para las familias de Hunter el segundo jueves de cada mes desde las 11:00 –1:00.

On Thursday, students receive interim reports. Please be sure to review these with your student.

Looking ahead, school will be closed for winter break December 22nd – January 2nd.

Students received the Income Verification Form with an envelope before Thanksgiving. Please complete the Income Verification Form, place it in the envelope, and send it back to school this week. This form is private, and we will not review it. The form will be submitted directly to School Nutrition Services. The information you provide helps Hunter Elementary and Guilford County Schools receive federal funding in the future.

Greetings Hunter Families! This is Principal Walton with a few important announcements.

We hope everyone had a safe and restful Thanksgiving holiday break. We are excited to see all students return to school tomorrow morning. Bus riders are reminded to be at your bus stop 10 minutes early. Car riders are reminded to wait until 7:00 to begin letting students out of the car. School arrival is from 7:00 to 7:25. Students should be in class by 7:25.

Our Hunter Parent Partnership Organization (HPPO) will conduct a meeting this Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. Please attend the meeting to learn how you can help support our students and staff.

Fall Picture Make Up Day is this Wednesday. Students who missed picture day in October will have the opportunity to take their picture. Additionally, families who want to retake their picture can do so if they return their photo package.

This is a two-day week. School is closed Wednesday through Friday this week for the Thanksgiving holiday. We look forward to seeing all students return to school on November 27th.
