Partners from more than 12 fields met for the first Statutory Adult Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Case Review Meeting. The Elder Justice Committee at the FJC has worked for several years to help advocate for a law that allow professionals from many areas to work together. Their goal is to stop the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable and older adults. By working together, we can better protect victims, respect their dignity, and hold offenders accountable.

Kicking off Elder Abuse Awareness Month with this meeting made our committee’s vision come true. It was inspiring to meet with so many dedicated professionals working to support elder justice in our community and to create a safer future for older adults.
