🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ Crosswalk Safety Starts with All of Us!

As students, faculty, and staff move around campus, remember that crosswalk safety is a shared responsibility.

✅ Pedestrians: Use designated crosswalks, stay alert, and avoid distractions such as texting or wearing headphones at high volume.

✅ Drivers: Slow down, stay focused, and always yield to pedestrians in crosswalks.

✅ Bicyclists: Obey traffic laws, be visible, signal your intentions, and stay alert for pedestrians and vehicles.

✅ Everyone: Make eye contact when possible and be aware of your surroundings.

A few extra seconds of caution can prevent a lifetime of consequences. Let's work together to keep the UNCG community safe and moving safely across campus.

The Transportation, Research, and Education for Driving Safety (TREDS) program is designed for students, faculty, staff, and members of the campus community who want to make safer choices on and around our roadways.

UNCG Police and Parking Operations & Campus Access Management are partnering to provide free bicycle locks to UNCG affiliates who register their bicycles with Parking Services.

Already registered your bike? You're still eligible to receive a free lock while supplies last. Registering your bicycle helps improve the chances of recovery if it is ever lost or stolen. We hope to see you there!
