Pet owners in need can visit either location for free pet food and supplies. Donations are also welcome to help restock the pantries.

☀️Heat safety reminder: It only takes minutes for the inside of a parked vehicle to become dangerously hot, even if the windows are cracked. Never leave a child or pet unattended in a vehicle, even for a quick errand.

Help keep everyone by remembering to:
✅ Check the back seat before you lock your car.
✅ Leave an essential item, such as your purse, wallet or shoes, in the back seat as a reminder to check before getting out.
✅ Keep a visual reminder, such as a toy or diaper bag, in the front seat.
✅ If you see a child or pet left unattended in a vehicle, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Back-to-School Supply Giveaway & Resource Fair! Guilford County Social Services, in partnership with the Deuterman Law Group, was proud to provide families with free school supplies, face painting, games, community resources, and lunch. With more than 300 people in attendance, it was wonderful to see so many families come together and prepare for the new school year. Wishing all students and families a safe and successful back-to-school season!

In partnership with Deuterman Law Group, this event offers free school supplies (students must be present, while supplies last), face painting, games, lunch, and access to community resources.

Guilford County offices will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day.

The Guilford County Veterans Services office in Greensboro, located inside the NCWorks Career Center, will close at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 2. The office will reopen on Monday, July 6.

Essential county services will remain operational including Guilford County EMS, Guilford County Sheriff's Office, Guilford County Child and Adult Protection Teams, and Guilford Metro 911. Guilford County Parks will be open to the public.

County offices will return to normal operating hours on Monday, July 6.
