It’s Count Day! Help Put Alabama’s Pollinators on the Map!
The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is happening today and tomorrow, August 21–22, and we need YOU to participate!
Getting involved is easy and takes just 15 minutes:
• Print your counting sheet.
• Find a pollinator-friendly plant.
• Watch the plant for 15 minutes.
• Record the insects that visit.
• Upload your observations.
You can participate from your backyard, garden, schoolyard, workplace, or community. Your observations become part of a larger scientific effort to better understand and conserve pollinators throughout the Southeast.
People of all ages can participate! Gather your family, coworkers, classmates, or friends and head outside for a fun citizen science activity. Even Aubie is counting—will you join him?
