🐾 Morning Rescue on Highway 29 🐾

On the morning of January 24, 2026, Southern E officers located a dog stranded along the median of Highway 29. The dog was shivering, cold, and clearly in need of assistance.

Working together, officers were able to safely secure the dog and get it out of harm’s way. After a little reassurance (and a well-deserved treat 🦴), the pup was transported safely to the animal shelter, where it will be warm, cared for, and evaluated.

We’re proud of the teamwork and compassion shown by our officers—protecting and serving all members of our community, including the four-legged ones. 💙🐶

Yesterday, District 2 Community Resource Officers proudly participated in two separate holiday events:

The 2025 Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities – Shoppers Day Event at Four Seasons Mall and GPD Operation Yuletide, helping distribute gifts to families in our community

This evening, the Jonesboro/Scott Park Neighborhood Association expressed their heartfelt thanks to Officer Campbell for his years of dedicated service as their community resource officer. As he approaches retirement at the end of the year, they recognize the significant impact he has made in the neighborhood and took the time to honor him.
