🚨 Public Service Announcement 🚨

For those who enjoy counting police officers every time we happen to be standing within 10 feet of each other, we wanted to give you a little something extra to chew on tonight. 🦙🌾

With racing action at Mt. Lawn Speedway this evening, Greensboro PD and our partner agencies will be conducting saturation patrols throughout the area.

That means if seeing three officers together gets your attention, tonight may be a record-breaking event. You might see four… five… maybe even more. 😱

While our alpaca friend is busy working on his hay, some folks will undoubtedly be busy counting officers. We’ll be busy keeping race fans, spectators, and motorists safe.

Enjoy the races, have a great evening, and drive safely!

Vehicle Fire / Traffic Incident Assistance

Earlier today, Greensboro Police Department assisted with traffic control and crash reporting following a vehicle fire near State Road 109 and I-70 (Exit 115).

Incidents like this are a reminder of why strong partnerships matter. Greensboro officers worked alongside Henry County Sheriff and Knightstown Police to help keep traffic moving safely and assist motorists affected by the incident.

A big thank you to all agencies involved for their teamwork and professionalism. When departments work together, our communities are better served.

Stay safe and slow down when approaching emergency scenes. 🚔🚒

With Spirit’s recent sell-out, we figured Greensboro PD better secure our own aircraft before they were all gone. 👀✈️

Look what just came in for new decals. We’re still waiting on dispatch to approve runway traffic stops. 😂

Our officers were honored to receive su***de awareness and prevention wristbands from a thoughtful citizen passing through our community. Small acts of kindness can open important conversations and remind others they are never alone.

0116 in the morning…. The law…. Around Greensboro Indiana I met these three outstanding men in blue…. (Jake- Don and Austin) When I asked them if they would wear our wristband to support us, our cause (su***de awareness and prevention) and take a picture for our Facebook with me, they couldn’t have been any more gracious and eager to spread the word….

It was an honor guys. Thank you!

When I initiallyapproached them I pointed to my motorcycle and made some sort of comment about I was riding the motorcycle as I pointed to it. One of the officers said, “The quiet one?” I laughed about that a couple more times last night…

This week, we proudly recognize National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and the incredible professionals who serve as the first voice in every emergency.

Our dispatchers with Henry County Indiana Emergency Services 911 Dispatch are the calm in the chaos — answering the call when it matters most, providing reassurance to those in need, and guiding our officers, firefighters, and EMS with precision and care. Their work often goes unseen, but its impact is felt every single day across our community.

Thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to keeping Greensboro safe. We are grateful for everything you do behind the scenes to support those on the front lines.

Fun Fact: Goats have accents. Apparently even goats sound local.

And around Greensboro, higher gas prices can change how people get around too. More folks may be biking or walking, so stay alert for bicyclists and pedestrians out and about. 🚲🚶
