Meanwhile, Wall Street is taking thousands of houses off the market, shutting out first time home buyers. In Mecklenburg County, one of the biggest in our state, corporate landlords own 1 in 4 homes.

Instead of allowing private equity to own thousands of homes, North Carolina could help families buy their first.
