Providing information and referral to community resources and collaborating with other agencies. Creating workshops and presentations on how to navigate the health system and health related topics. Coordinating services between the Guilford Community Care Network (GCCN) partners, specialty care, and clients. Providing interpretation, translation, and on-sight translation to clients and providers. Assisting the community with case management related to health, economical, and social issues. El Programa de Acceso al Cuidado Medico para los Inmigrantes (IHAP por sus siglos en inglés) entiende que la diferencia de cultura, y lenguaje son unas de las barreras mas grandes que la comunidad Latina enfrenta aquí en Estados Unidos. Estas barreras no permiten que la comunidad reciba el cuidado de salud adecuado y deseado. Es por eso que IHAP provee diferentes servicios gratuitos a la comunidad. Estos servicios tiene como objetivo reducir o eliminar cualquier barrera que prevenga el acceso al cuidado médico. / The Immigrant Health Access Project (IHAP) understands that language and cultural barriers are two of the main issues that prevent the immigrant community from receiving adequate health care. IHAP offers free services to the community, with the goal of reducing and/or eliminating the barriers preventing access to care.

El Proyecto de Acceso a la Salud para los Inmigrantes (IHAP por sus siglos en inglés) entiende que diferencias culturales y lingüísticas son unas de las barreras más grandes que la comunidad inmigrante enfrenta aquí en Estados Unidos. Estas barreras no permiten que la comunidad reciba el cuidado de salud adecuado y culturalmente apropiado. Es por eso que IHAP provee diferentes servicios gratuitos a la comunidad para reducir o eliminar cualquier barrera que prevenga el acceso a los recursos necesarios para vivir una vida saludable.

The Immigrant Health Access Project (IHAP) understands that language and cultural barriers are two of the greatest barriers issues by immigrant community here in the United States. These barriers prevent the community from receiving health care that is adequate and culturally appropriate. That’s why IHAP provides different services at no cost to the community to reduce or eliminate the barriers that prevent access to the resources necessary for living a health life.
