Well, it may not look like much yet, but work began this week on the WIU Center for Innovation and Creativity in Education Classroom. We are excited that things are starting to move and will keep you posted here on the process as it progresses.

This brand new space, when completed, will be available for eAcademy teachers to utilize during our Tutorial Sessions that are typically held on every Thursday of the week. In the meantime, Tutorial Sessions will typically be held in the eAcademy meeting room in the back of the eAcademy offices.

Tim Hammill, Supervisor of Educational Technology and Curriculum, has spearheaded an aggressive effort to transform this, once "surgical looking" space, into a true creative learning space. Tim expects the re-construction to be completed by the end of July.

It was a great date at the eAcademy Tutorial Session yesterday with Joy Grandi and Rebecca Hasbrouck of Yough School District and Lynne Nickolls of Belle Vernon School District. All three teachers thrived in the quiet environment while being able to ask key questions on various topics/issues.

In addition, Lynne was able to utilize our "green room" to produce screencast recordings of her lessons. Great work as always ladies!
