Veterans Day is an important day but has special significance for me as a son, grandson, and brother of a veteran. Veterans Day is a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and strength it takes to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. Thank you to all veterans who have served and all who are currently serving.

It was a pleasure to meet with Madison Mayor Bob Courtney, as well as Clint Lamb and Amy Krieg from Accelerate Indiana Municipalities, this afternoon to discuss critical issues impacting local government. I appreciated the conversations, as collaboration with local officials is important in implementing effective policies on behalf of Hoosiers.

Today I joined North Vernon Main Street and the City of North Vernon as the City was named the 2025 PreservINg Main Street awardee. Thanks to all in the community for their efforts. I am excited to see the downtown projects that will be completed with this funding, and the improvements that are to come.

The City of North Vernon and North Vernon Main Street are honored to announce that North Vernon has been named the 2025 Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs PreservINg Main Street awardee!

We are so excited to begin the implementation of downtown preservation projects and education initiatives. We could not have done this without the support of our community partners, downtown businesses, and the community at large - thank you!

The violence in America must stop. No one should die for exercising their constitutional rights, most importantly one’s freedom of speech.

Even if you passionately disagree with someone’s personal or political views, responding with violence is not the answer and has no place in the public square.

Enjoyed being in Decatur County this afternoon for the annual Fair Parade with the Decatur County Statehouse delegation of Sen. Jean Leising, Rep. Lindsay Patterson, and Rep. Jenny Meltzer! Great turnout and always exciting to see the 4-H projects at each county fair!
