Saturday Recap: Final day of classes!

Classes included discussions on air monitoring, road and rail emergencies, and CNG vehicles!

We ended the evening with our awards dinner, followed by the hospitality suite with the infamous Altoona style pizza! Thank you to SPSI for sponsoring the hospitality suite!

Friday Recap: continuing the fun!

We started off the morning with a round table discussion involving PEMA, the state Fire Academy, and local emergency service leaders.

Classes included “Advanced Air Monitoring Concepts”, “Pseudoscience and Myths of HazMat”, and a returning favorite “Hold My Matches and Watch This”!

Of course the Blair County Convention Center has been serving delicious food! Dinner Friday included chicken wings and a Mac and cheese bar!

Thursday Recap: starting off with a bang!💥

Our opening keynote speaker was Scott Burgess, who discussed the Christmas Day bombing in Nashville.

We had some great instructors teaching in the afternoon! Sam Simon and Mike Armstrong from Dow Chemical, as well as Bobby Salveson from The Hazmat Guys!
