Come create your recycled art show mask at the Library, using recycled materials from the Library.

Everyone is welcome & this drop-in event is open to the public!

Arts & Cultural Council of Decatur County invites you to participate in Recycled Mask Art Show a unique community art exhibit celebrating imagination through recycled and repurposed materials.

We have two crafting hours open for you: 10:00 - 11:00 am & 4:00 - 5:00 pm!

The Library will have supplies available for everyone to use.

After creating your mask, you can drop your mask off at the Art on the Square Gallery. The Submission Deadline is August 29th by 2 pm.

Take a look in your recycling bin any inspiration to create a mask: a milk jug, paper plate, bottle caps, glass mosaics, aluminum cans. take a look around your house any items to reuse: buttons feathers, shoelace, old CD,s. The ideas are endless. check out Google or Pinterest for more inspiration. This could be a fun project for the weekend. Plus a chance to have your artwork on display at the gallery and possibly win cash! 💰

Sorry for the inconvenience Westport recycling site is closed on Wednesdays starting August 12th- mid September due to construction and road access. As soon as project is complete we will update this post. The site is still open on Saturdays from 7:30 AM to noon. Other recycling locations include St. Paul, Lake Santee and  Decatur Hills landfill.
