We recently joined the Alle-Kiski Intergovernmental Council (AK IGC) at the Habitat for Humanity Allegheny Valley, New Kensington ReStore for an afternoon of volunteering. While the council usually meets monthly to discuss ways to tackle intergovernmental issues and share assets, in place of April's meeting, municipal representatives and staff were focused on supporting an important regional partner, Habitat.

By helping stock, clean, and organize at ReStore, the AK IGC was able to support Habitat's mission to provide stable housing, which connects to ongoing goals and efforts of the council to reduce blight and improve communities of the Alle-Kiski.

What a great day with an awesome crew for an even better cause! 🏠✨
