On 5-5-2026 Engine 104 operated at the house on fire, in the boro of Arona (Adamsburg District)

Engine 104 took first due engine assignment, stretched a 1.75 line and began suppression operation. On arrival of Quint 10 they took the hydrant across from the address, supplied water and stretched addition hand lines.

Engine Crew later returned to service.

The engine and service took in a working fire this evening. Crew layed out for first arriving units to supply water. Then gave a basement report and completed searches. Once searches were found negative crew opened up the second floor knee walls.

Engine and Service just cleared Hempfield Towers from a Elevator Rescue. Crews were alerted for a patient stuck in Car Number 2. Units arrived finding the patient was able to get out uninjured.

While units were controling the power and shutting off the Elevator, WCDPS notified command Car Number 1 was now also stuck, then bouncing between floors and not opening the doors to allow the 2nd patient out. The elevator finally came to rest between floor 7 and 8.

Crews were able to rescue the Patient uninjured utilizing an attic ladder.

On the overnight Engine and Rescue 104 responded in the first due to I-70 for a 4 vehicle accident with a semi off.

The Engine arrived finding the semi fully involved hauling produce. This is still a very active scene.
