Happy February!
Even though Phil saw his shadow, we all know Spring is coming! The days are getting longer and February is almost half way over. Soon we will all be outside enjoying the Spring weather. As of today, there are no plans to open the center in February. Stay tuned for more information.

One final note, I have accepted a position as an Activity Director at another facility so Friday, February 12 will be my last day as your manager at McKenna Senior Center. It has been my honor and pleasure to meet all of you. I had a wonderful time at McKenna and will miss all of you. Rhonda Bradley, my Director will be overseeing the center until a replacement is found. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you!

INCOME TAX PREPARATION ASSISTANCE
2021

The AARP Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) program offers free tax help to people who cannot afford professional assistance. Volunteers from the RSVP Program (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) help prepare simple tax returns.

Taxpayers are reminded to bring their accurate records, income, interest and dividend statements, and copies of last year’s federal and state tax returns when they seek help. If spouse cannot be present, a written permission AND their ID are required (per AARP).

Our first priority is the health, safety, and security of our volunteers, staff, and community members. Our tax program will be offering services on a very limited basis this year.

We will adhere to all CDC guidelines. MASKS are MANDATORY and Social Distancing will be enforced. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for your appointment.

ALL TAX PREPARATIONS WILL BE DONE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
NO WALK-INS PERMITTED

Please check the local radio/television stations for site closings in the event of inclement weather.
