🧑🍳 Help us create Greenup’s community cookbook! 📚
The Greenup Township Public library has an exciting new project in the works, and we can’t do it without you!
Over the next year, we will be collecting recipes from our community to create our very first community cookbook! From quick weeknight dinners to holiday cookies, hearty soups to summer treats, each month will feature a different recipe category and invite everyone to share their favorites whether your recipe has been passed down through generations or simply the meal your family asked for again, and again we’d love to include it.
The cookbook will be more than just a collection of recipes. It will be a keepsake that celebrates the people, traditions, and favorite dishes of our community.
Our goal is to gather 250 recipes from as many community members as possible. We’d love to fill the pages with contributions from families, friends, neighbors, church groups, clubs, and anyone who enjoys cooking or baking. Every recipe helps tell the story of our town.
Recipe submission will begin in August, our first category will be quick & easy weeknight meals. New monthly categories will be announced throughout the year. Recipe forms will be available at the library, and recipes may also be submitted by email or dropped off during regular library hours.
This is truly a community project, and we hope you’ll be a part of it. Together, we can preserve family favorites, share treasured traditions, and create a cookbook that future generations will enjoy for years to come.
