Tonight, I attended a very important public forum on data centers, with representatives from the federal, state, and county levels of government, along with members of our community.

The turnout was impressive, and so were the questions. Residents came prepared, asked thoughtful and sometimes tough questions, and made it clear that Darke County is paying attention.

Data centers and large-scale development are issues I take seriously. We need to understand the potential impact on our farmland, water resources, electric infrastructure, property owners, environment, local economy, and quality of life—as well as what benefits are actually being promised to our county.

I am not interested in making decisions based on headlines or promises. I believe in asking questions, studying the facts, listening to residents, and demanding transparency before decisions are made that could affect Darke County for generations.

Seeing so many people attend tonight reinforced something I strongly believe: our community wants a seat at the table.

As your County Commissioner, I will listen. I will ask the difficult questions. And I will always remember who I work for—the people of Darke County.

The community is watching. The community is asking questions. Leadership needs to listen.

☕ Early Morning Coffee. Real Conversations. Real Darke County Issues.

Started my morning with a cup of coffee at Coles Front Street Inn Restaurant, spending time talking with and, more importantly, listening to local farmers about the challenges they face across Darke County.

Agriculture is a huge part of who we are, and the people working our land deserve county leadership that listens to them—not just during election season, but every day.

This is exactly the kind of Commissioner I intend to be if elected: accessible, present, and willing to sit down with the people who live and work here to understand their concerns firsthand.

I don’t believe every answer comes from sitting behind a desk. Sometimes it starts early in the morning, over a cup of coffee, listening to the people who know our county best.

That’s the kind of leadership I want to bring to Darke County.

Tonight I had the pleasure of attending the Annual Youth for Christ (YFC) Summerfest in Greenville. It was a great evening filled with food, music, games, and, most importantly, conversations with the people who make Darke County such a special place to call home.

For me, events like this aren’t just campaign stops—they’re opportunities to listen. As your candidate for Darke County Commissioner, I believe the best decisions are made by talking directly with the people who live, work, and raise their families here, not by sitting behind a desk.

That’s what I have to offer as your County Commissioner: someone who will continue showing up, listening to real people, understanding their concerns, and working every day to represent the entire community.

Thank you to Youth for Christ and everyone who helped organize such a wonderful event. I truly enjoyed spending the evening with so many friends, neighbors, and families.

I respect anyone who takes the time to represent Darke County at community events, and building relationships is certainly part of public service.

However, I believe voters should ask an even bigger question: Who has the experience to lead, manage taxpayer dollars responsibly, and make tough decisions when they matter most?

I don’t measure leadership by how many politicians someone knows. I measure it by a lifetime of service, proven executive leadership, accountability, and results.

As a retired U.S. Marine and retired federal executive, I’ve worked with leaders at every level of government. More importantly, I’ve led large organizations, managed significant budgets, solved complex challenges, and served people—not political parties.

As an Independent, I’m not running because of political connections. I’m running because I believe Darke County deserves honest, transparent leadership focused on the people, not partisan politics.

Relationships can open doors. Experience, integrity, and accountability are what get the job done.

Today I had the opportunity to spend some time at the Arcanum Street Festival, better known as the Brick Street Block Party, and it was a wonderful experience. Events like this are what make our communities so special—neighbors coming together, supporting local businesses, celebrating our history, and sharing great conversations.

One of the best parts of the day was talking with so many members of the community. I appreciate everyone who took a few minutes to share their thoughts, concerns, and ideas for the future of Darke County. Listening to the people will always be one of my top priorities.

A very special thank you to Angela Herron for giving me a private tour of the historic Old Opera House. It was fascinating to learn more about this important piece of Arcanum’s history and to see firsthand the dedication to preserving the places that tell our community’s story.

Thank you to everyone who made the Brick Street Block Party such a welcoming event. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be there, meet so many great people, and continue earning your support.
