Strong storms are expected this afternoon. Be and have a plan.

From the National Weather Service:

Key Messages
● What: Severe thunderstorms expected this afternoon through late evening. Greatest risk for severe storms is in central WI.
● General storm timing: 3 PM - 10 PM
○ Peak severe window: 4 PM - 8 PM
● Hazards:
○ Large hail (1 to 2+ Inches)
○ Damaging wind gusts (70+ mph)
○ A few tornadoes, possibly strong
○ Heavy rain/flash flooding
● Confidence: High that there will be severe thunderstorms across central WI. The risk for strong tornadoes is dependent on more isolated storms
developing this afternoon. Lower confidence how far east the severe threat will evolve as storms encounter stable air coming off of Lake Michigan.
