Good morning,

Now that the road dust has settled and the basket prizes have been distributed, we wanted to take a moment to thank you all for an extremely successful event. This was our 4th year of the Scrabble Scramble and each year it gets bigger and bigger. More riders more attendees and the food, well AJ out did herself this year. Outside of our kettles this is our largest local fundraiser and the support by the town of Greenville goes above beyond. Your continued support goes to help the needs of local residents here in the Greenville area and to support such programs as our Youth and Teen groups.

We want to say first a thank you to our sponsor for the event, the Moose Lodge & Riders of Greenville, without them this event would not have been possible.

As an additional unexpected level of support Bill Sumner reached out to us regarding the annual Rolling Car Show, where we were given the opportunity to collect the "toll" for the cruise. We collected $740 to help support the work here, thank you Bill!

Of course, we want to give special recognition to our many donors from the event. Your donations are worth more than we can express.

JULY 26 - We Have a Right to Rejoice

Shout unto God with the voice of triumph. (Psalm 47:1, KJV)

Many people, in fierce temptation and hellish darkness, have poured out their hearts in prayer and then sunk back in despair. If only they had closed that prayer with thanks, and dared in the name of God to shout, it would have filled hell with confusion, and won a victory.

Many a prayer meeting has failed at the shouting point. Songs were sung, testimonies were given, the Bible was read and explained, sinners were entreated, prayers were poured forth to God, but no one wrestled through to the point where they could and would intelligently praise God for victory, and the battle was lost for want of a shout.

From the moment we are born of God, we have a right to rejoice, and we ought to do it. It is our highest privilege and our most solemn duty. Weeping and fasting and watching and praying and self-denying and cross-bearing and conflict with hell will cease. But praise to God, and hallelujahs “to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father” (Revelation 1:5-6, NIV), shall ring through heaven eternally.
