Congrats to the 2026 Teen Grand Prize Winners: Emmeline B., Adelaide C., and Mercy N.!!!🥳🎉 Winners got a Visa Gift Card and a bag of goodies. In total, our 119 teen participants read 55, 260 minutes = 921 hours! That's 300+ more hours than last year.🤩⏰⏳

We had 249 adults sign up for the Adult Summer Reading Program and 70 people completed their Book Bingo card! Our Grand Prize Winner is Sarah E. 🥳

Last Thursday was all about CANDY! 🍬🍭 We had 20 teens make candy sushi and Kandi bracelets. They made maki rolls, nigiri, and battleship rolls out of rice krispie treats and lots of candy!🍣 Teens had 40 minutes to make their sushi box and then we voted on "Best in Show." Winner took home a 3D printed dinosaur and second place got seaweed! 🦖

Some of the teens also taught us how to make double and triple strand Kandi bracelets with pony beads! 🪡

We've loved seeing the teens creativity this summer! We will continue the fun in the Teen Zone on Thursday, September 10. Stay tuned for the program schedule!

The Teens have been SO busy at SML this summer!🤩 From giving old stuffed animals a new life at Plushie Taxidermy🪡🧸, making beautiful forever plants out of beads🌱, playing the Nintendo Switch and board games🎮🎲, to using their creativity to make clay dino eyes, buttons, and Perler Bead designs🦖!

Although the summer reading program has come to an end, we have one more teen program: Candy Sushi and Kandi bracelets!🍭🍬🍣 Join us for our Teen Summer Finale Program this Thursday, August 13th at 3 pm!

What is your favorite craft? Ours was Plushie Taxidermy!
