Greenville, KY — On April 24, 2026, the Greenville Fire Department responded to a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries on Robert L. Draper Way.

Upon arrival, first responding units located a silver SUV that had left the roadway on the east side and overturned, coming to rest on its right side. Fire personnel quickly initiated extrication efforts and successfully removed three patients from the vehicle.

One patient was transported by air medical helicopter, PHI Air Medical (PHI 6), for further treatment. The remaining patients were transported by ground EMS.

Agencies assisting on scene included Chief 4, Rescue 4, Engine 21, Squad 25, Greenville Police Department (GPD), Central City Police Department (CCPD), Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), and Muhlenberg County EMS (MCHEMS).

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

If you hear the tornado sirens this evening it is only a test. We just installed some new updated equipment the other day and and we are getting everything up and going for the potential storms tomorrow night.

Just before 1300 on March 14, 2026, Greenville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 900 block of Kennedy Brasher Rd. Engine 44 arrived on scene to a single story wood frame garage with smoke presenting on the A/B corner. After E-44’s crew made entry heavy fire was found on the C-side of the garage that made its way to the D-side. Fire was knocked out within minutes of arrival. Crews operated on scene for approximately an hour and a half ensuring complete extinguishment. No injuries were reported

Just after 21:00 on 3-5-26, Greenville Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 600 block of State Route 853.

Engine 44 arrived on scene to a single-story residence with light smoke showing from the eaves. While Engine 44’s crew began stretching a hose line, DC-402 conducted a 360 size-up of the structure and located an active fire in the kitchen area on the C-side of the residence. Engine 44’s crew made entry into the structure and quickly knocked down the fire within minutes of arrival, containing the fire to the kitchen area with minor extension into the attic.Crews remained on scene for approximately two hours performing overhaul operations and ensuring the fire was completely extinguished.
