Old Greenville Bridge Welcome to the Old Greenville Bridge page. The official name of the bridge is the Benjamin The official name of the bridge is the Benjamin G.

Humphreys Bridge and was build in 1940. Despite being listed on the National Register Of Historic Places the bridge is being dismantled and recycled. This page is dedicated to preserving it's importance to the Delta region.

Well the old bridge is completely gone now. There are a few reminders that remain but those will also fade over time until eventually there will be no trace of our old friend. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this page and all who shared memories of this bridge.

You can buy a raffle ticket for a chance to blow up one of the piers on the bridge. I don't think I could push the button...

At the push of a button sometime next month, the old Greenville Bridge pier on the Arkansas side of the Mississippi River will be blown up, shooting the the mighty Mississippi River waters hundreds of feet into the air.
