The 2026 State of the City Address has been delivered, and the City of Greenville is proud to now share it with the entire Greenville community.

This year’s theme, “Progress Through People,” reflects a simple truth: Greenville’s success is not measured by buildings, budgets, or headlines alone—it is measured by the lives we impact and the people who make progress possible every day.

Statement of Mayor Errick D. Simmons

“This presentation highlights the milestones, accomplishments, partnerships, and historic investments that continue to move Greenville forward. From safer neighborhoods and economic growth to educational opportunities and community development, every achievement has been powered by the dedication of our residents, businesses, educators, public servants, faith leaders, community organizations, and stakeholders.

As you watch, I encourage you to look beyond the projects and statistics. See the people. See the resilience. See the hope. See the spirit of a city that continues to rise, grow, and move forward together.

This is our story.

This is Greenville.

Thank you for believing in our city and for being part of our progress as we continue building a brighter future together.”
