⛈️ Weather Alert for Greenville County ⛈️

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon through tonight. Damaging wind gusts are the primary concern, with a low potential for a brief tornado, especially this evening.

Now is a good time to review your severe weather plan, ensure you have multiple ways to receive warnings, and know where you will take shelter if warnings are issued.

Stay weather-aware and be prepared to act quickly if conditions worsen.

Severe storms are possible this afternoon into tonight across parts of the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia.

Damaging winds will be the main hazard, but isolated tornadoes are also possible, mainly this evening south of I-85 in northeast Georgia and the South Carolina Upstate. Any tornadoes that develop will likely be brief and weak.

Make sure you have multiple ways to receive warnings, and be ready to move to a safe indoor location if storms approach your area.

⚠️ SEVERE STORM THREAT THIS AFTERNOON & EVENING ⚠️

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across Northeast Georgia, the western Upstate of SC, and western NC today (Sunday, June 14), mainly between 2 PM and 9 PM.

💨 Damaging wind gusts of 40–60 mph are the primary threat and could bring down trees and cause isolated damage. The area is under a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather.

🌡️ Heat indices may reach 100–104°F before storms develop. Stay hydrated and limit outdoor activity during peak heat.

✅ Charge your phone
✅ Secure loose outdoor items
✅ Make sure weather alerts are enabled
✅ Know your safe place indoors

Storms should move out by late evening, with cooler, drier weather returning Monday.
