This past weekend Fire Chief Tom McCarty and District Commissioner Kevin Taylor attended the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial weekend at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg Maryland to honor a past District Commissioner Steve Brockway who died in the line of duty in 2021. Chief McCarty and Commissioner Taylor escorted Steve's widow, Karen Brockway, and Steve's mom, Dean, throughout the weekend. It was an honor to be able to spend the weekend with them honoring Steve and his family.
