On this Memorial Day, we extend our thoughts to our followers and everyone reading this message.

Today is a day to honor, remember, and respect the lives of the brave men and women who died protecting our country.

Right now, there are many divisions over politics, social issues, Biblical issues, and more. However, we can take a step back in unison today to remember that the United States is our country, a nation full of diverse people. There are many who believed in that vision so deeply that they were willing to fight and die for our freedom and prosperity.

I hope and pray that we can be encouraged by the memories of those we lost to better ourselves, our country, and the communities we serve every day.

We recently hosted Chris, President of Texans for Strong Borders, to discuss the fight for American worker-first policies and their upcoming legislative playbook. Here are 3 key takeaways from our meeting.

Mass Deportation Mandate: Securing the border remains the top grassroots priority, with polling showing 74% of Trump voters more motivated for midterms if the administration hits 1 million annual deportations.

Opposing Amnesty & Reforming Visas: The group is actively fighting Washington "compromises" (like the Dignity Act) and high-skilled visa programs (H-1B/OPT) that displace American tech and STEM professionals.

We had an incredible meeting Monday night at The Landmark on Lee Street, packed with vital info for every taxpayer. If you couldn't make it, here is the "too long; didn't read" summary of what went down:

Highlights from the Night:
Property Tax Deep Dive: Andrew McVeigh, President of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, joined us to pull back the curtain on why our property taxes keep rising even when the state "cuts" them.

The Spending Problem: The big takeaway? Texas doesn’t have a revenue problem; it has a spending problem. We discussed the need to freeze the state budget and eliminate school M&O property taxes entirely. 💸

Legislative Report Card: We looked at the Fiscal Responsibility Index. Huge shoutout to our local reps: Representative Brent Money (98% score!) and Senator Angela Paxton (81%) for standing up for taxpayers.

Action Items for You:
Watch the Local Level: Most of your tax bill is set by city councils, school boards, and county commissioners. Show up to their budget meetings in August/September!
