Good Afternoon, Jaguar Family! 🖤🐆❤️

What an incredible first two weeks of school at EBA! 🎉🐆 Our Jaguars have done a great job settling into routines, building relationships, meeting expectations, and setting the foundation for a successful school year.

As we enjoy this extended Labor Day weekend, we hope all of our Jaguar families have an opportunity to relax, recharge, and spend quality time with loved ones. We are grateful for the students, families, staff, and community members who make EBA such a special place!

🏗️🐆 GYM RENOVATION UPDATE! ❤️🖤

The transformation continues at E.B. Aycock! Painting in our gym is nearly complete, and the difference is already incredible!

Not only does the fresh paint brighten and refresh the space, but we have also brought our school colors into the gym, making it a space that truly feels like HOME for our Jaguars. 🐆

Every improvement we make is about more than updating a building. It’s about creating spaces our students, staff, families, and community can take PRIDE in.

There’s still more to come as our gym renovation continues, and we cannot wait to see the finished product!

🎶🐆 MUSIC IS GROWING AT EBA! ❤️🖤

Just this week, our Band and Orchestra students stepped up as leaders and ambassadors, visiting classrooms to share their talents, their experiences, and all that our award-winning music programs have to offer.

And our Jaguars were listening! 🎶

We are excited to share that MORE THAN 25 STUDENTS have joined our Band and Orchestra programs! 🎺🎻

This is what happens when we put student leadership and student voice at the forefront. Our students didn’t just perform. They inspired their fellow Jaguars to step outside of their comfort zones, try something new, and become part of something special at E.B. Aycock.

We are incredibly excited to welcome our newest student musicians and can’t wait to see them learn, grow, perform, and make their mark on EBA! ❤️🐆🖤

A huge thank you to Ms. Hutson, Mrs. Haugeberg, and our student musicians for continuing to grow a culture where students have opportunities to discover their talents and find where they belong.

❤️🐆🖤 What a way to start the school year, Jaguars!

The first two weeks at E.B. Aycock have given us so much to celebrate! From reconnecting and building relationships to engaging learning experiences, school spirit, and our Jaguars settling into routines and expectations, we are proud of the energy and momentum across our campus.

We are especially grateful for our incredible students, staff, families, and community who have helped make the start of the school year such a positive one. This is only the beginning! 🐆

As we head into the long holiday weekend, we hope our entire Jaguar family takes time to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends.

Our 6th Grade Jaguars put their scientific thinking—and teamwork—to work in Mrs. Gresham’s Science class with Collaborative Graffiti Walls! ❤️🐆🖤

Students worked together to draw, write, explain, and connect their learning as they tackled the essential question:

How does the structure and motion of particles explain the properties of matter and how matter changes when energy is added or removed?

Instead of simply recalling information, students were talking, collaborating, making connections, and visually demonstrating their understanding of particles, states of matter, and thermal energy. 💡

Congratulations to our incredible EBA School Nutrition Team for their unwavering commitment to serving our Jaguars each and every day! ❤️🐆🖤

From preparing and serving hundreds of nutritious meals to keeping our cafeteria running smoothly, our School Nutrition team plays an essential role in making sure our students are fueled, cared for, and ready to learn. Their work begins long before our Jaguars enter the cafeteria and continues well after the last meal is served. 🍎🥗🥛

A special recognition goes to our School Nutrition Cafeteria Manager, Ms. Akia Davis, whose leadership, organization, and dedication help make it all possible. Ms. Davis leads her team with pride while ensuring our students receive quality meals and welcoming service each day. Whether coordinating meal preparation, managing daily operations, supporting her team, or greeting our Jaguars, she understands that feeding students is an important part of supporting their success!

We are incredibly grateful for Ms. Davis and our entire EBA School Nutrition Team for the care, consistency, and hard work they bring to EBA every single day. They remind us that it takes EVERYONE working together to RUN EBA! 🐆❤️🖤
