Darke Co Economic Development is the contact point for new or existing businesses seeking assistance with an expansion, relocation, or any other type of development project. Darke County Economic Development (DCED) is the organization charged with economic and business development in Darke County, Ohio. The organization was formed in 1995 by the Darke County Board of Commissioners to encourage bus

iness investment and job creation and retention in the county. DCED can assist your company with Site & Building Selection Assistance, Information and Assistance on Business Incentives, Grants and Tax Incentives, Assistance with Industrial/Business Expansion, Labor Force Information, Community Profiles and Other Community Information, and Financial Assistance.

Our August session of Leadership Darke County focused on team building, leadership, and connecting with our community!

Participants spent the morning with Jacob Larger of SimplifiedHR Solutions, who facilitated an engaging session on team building and effective collaboration. Jacob is also the author of Inverse Leadership, the book our class has been reading throughout the program, making the session an especially meaningful opportunity to learn directly from the author.

In the afternoon, the class headed to the Great Darke County Fair, where they spent time with local 4-H members learning about their projects and the hard work, dedication, and leadership that goes into preparing for the fair. 🐄🐑🐖🐓

From strengthening our teams to learning from the next generation of leaders in our community, it was another great day of learning and connection for the Leadership Darke County class!

This part-time, hybrid contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping high-risk individuals connect with resources, navigate systems, coordinate care, and access services that support their overall health and well-being.

💼 Position: Whole Person Care Coordination Navigator
⏰ Hours: 20–25 hours/week
💰 Contract Rate: $30,000
🏡 Work Setting: Hybrid — remote, on-site and community outreach
🎓 Education: Associate degree preferred; background in social work, counseling, healthcare or another helping field is a plus

The ideal candidate will have experience with care coordination, working with vulnerable populations, volunteer or partner coordination, problem-solving, and connecting individuals with resources.
