Greenville Ohio Fire Department The Greenville Fire Department was est. in 1871 with the intent to provide fire protection to the citizens of Greenville.

We strive to maintain traditions, while making new advances that increase the level of protection offered to our community.

The Greenville Fire Department will begin flushing hydrants on Monday, June 1, 2026, and end on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. We strongly recommend checking water quality before using water anytime in the month of June, due to the possibility of rusty water damaging clothing. If you live close to one of these dividing lines, you may be affected by one of the other time frames.

June 1-15
We will be flushing hydrants north of Greenville Creek.

June 15-23
We will be flushing hydrants south of Greenville Creek and north of the railroad tracks. The Greenville Industrial Park (Jaysville-St. Johns Road) is included in this area.

June 23-30
We will be flushing hydrants south of the railroad tracks.

A special public meeting is being held Friday morning at 8am at the Greenville Township Building located at 5366 State Route 571 East. Discussed on and off over the last 3 years, township trustees and members of a city council ADHOC committee will be meeting once again to further discuss the possibilities of consolidating GFD and GTES. Rather a resident of the incorporated or unincorporated portions of Greenville Township, we encourage you to attend. With a goal of informing the public, we intend to provide it to you via FB Live.

The Greenville Police Department is currently investigating a Missing Juvenile.

10 year old, Lilly Cook. She is approximately 4ft 8in, 85lbs, with short black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen in the 100 block of Deshler Avenue wearing blue unicorn pants, black and white shirt with stars, and pink and purple puma shoes.
