Darke Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc., is a not-for-profit, member-owned electric distribution system serving the energy needs of approximately 5,000 homes and businesses in Darke, Preble, and Mercer counties in west central Ohio. Today, our Darke REC employees are spending the day volunteering with Preble County Habitat For Humanity, helping care for homes in our community. From landscaping projects to pressure washing, their hard work reflects the cooperative spirit of neighbors helping neighbors. We're grateful for the opportunity to support Habitat's mission and proud of our team for giving their time and energy to make a difference. 🏠

Touch-A-Truck was a hit at the Darke County Fair today! 🚚⚡Families had the chance to get up close with bucket trucks, emergency vehicles, heavy equipment, and more while making memories and enjoying a fun day at the fair.

One of our favorite visitors was this future lineman in training, proudly sporting Dad's hard hat. He may have some growing to do, but he already looked right at home around the trucks. 👷💙
