PHI 6 would like to give a shout out to our newest Flight Nurse, Sam Bowers. She is a familiar face around Greenville as she is a native of Muhlenberg County. She brings 13 years of emergency nursing experience to our team. We can’t wait to see all of your talents in action and the love you show for your community.

Now a word from Sam…. “I have a passion for emergency medicine; flight nursing has always been my dream and goal as a nurse. I am incredibly grateful and excited to begin this new journey serving the community I love by providing compassionate, critical care when patients and families need it most.
When I’m not on duty, I enjoy every moment possible with my family and friends, especially my two daughters, Raelynn and Karlee. We cherish creating lasting memories together, whether it’s listening to music, going shopping, attending concerts, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature. Life at home is a constant source of love and laughter. Adding to the joy, we have two dogs, Teddy and Winnie, and our cat, Ivy.

I look forward to the opportunity to connect with and support and care for the communities we serve.”

PHI 6 would like to wish all EMS personnel a happy Emergency Medical Services week! We appreciate your selfless call to help others. We appreciate your long hours, the stress of making numerous calls, and your desire to serve your community. We are thankful you have chosen your role whether it be a nurse, first responder, EMT or paramedic on the ground or in the air. It truly takes everyone to make missions a success.

Today we celebrate World Pilots Day. We are thankful everyday for our skillful pilots here at PHI 6, but today is their day to be highlighted. Our pilots come to us with 1000’s of hours of flight time. They tirelessly train and promote a safety culture that is second to none. PHI 6 would like to thank Casco Automotive in Morgantown KY for the recent invite to be part of their “We Care” Day at their local plant. For 3 years, Casco has invited their staff, and has given an open invite to the community, for a day of fun. There are several local businesses that have booths, along with multiple first responder agencies. Casco fed the first responders lunch, which was appreciated. We also enjoyed the 3rd grade classes from Butler County Schools. Already looking forward to next year.

PHI 6 recently was invited to Sacramento Fire Department for a fundraiser for their former chief who is undergoing medical treatment for a brain tumor. We were blessed to be able to help our fellow first responder in his time of need. Wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery Mr. Ellis!
