Project Host

Project Host Project Host uses food as a tool to nourish the hungry and train the unemployed. To learn more about any of our services please contact us!

At Project Host, we believe food insecurity can only be addressed by the whole community, and we engage the people of Greenville in every step of the process. Our programs support one another and all focus on giving back to the wider Greenville community. Our Soup Kitchen depends on volunteers and can serve as a pipeline into our CC Pearce Culinary School. Our culinary students prepare meals for t

he Cooking for Kids program and have the opportunity to intern and work in our Bakery and on our HostMobile food truck. These social enterprises, in turn, invite the Greenville community to eat, drink, and be merry, all while giving back to Project Host. Our Gardening for Good program also runs on volunteers and provides our food programs with homegrown produce to bring nutritional value to our meals. The Soup Kitchen offers a balanced, nutritious meal Sunday-Friday (service is 11am-12pm) in a safe, clean, and caring environment to all who are hungry, no questions asked. The CC Pearce Community Culinary School teaches unemployed and underemployed people the skills and knowledge needed to get a job in the food industry and to become more financially stable. Cooking for Kids utilizes our culinary students to make freshly prepared meals for children of low-income families. The goal of the program is to ensure that all children have access to delicious and nutritious food outside of school. Our onsite garden and greenhouse has grown into Gardening for Good, a place for gardening resources and partnerships. The garden provides food for each of our programs and serves as a teaching space for the community. Project Host's food truck and Bakery offer first class meal and catering services that benefit employ our culinary students and graduates and generate income for all of our programs. Introducing the “Get It Crew” 🎓🔥

This class truly lived up to the name - preparing 7,560 meals and 5,340 snacks for our Cooking for Kids program and executing a beautiful 80-seat, 3-course community dinner.

We are so proud of all they accomplished during their time at Project Host and can’t wait to cheer them on in what’s next. Once part of the Project Host family, always part of the family. 💛👏

What a special evening at Project Host. 💛

Last week’s Community Dinner with guest chef Dayna Lee of Comal 864 was completely sold out and filled with incredible food, connection, and community. Our culinary students absolutely crushed it in the kitchen, and we couldn’t be prouder of the heart and hard work they brought to the evening.

Thank you to our table sponsors, guests, and everyone who joined us in support of our mission. Nights like these are a beautiful reminder of what community around the table can do. ✨

Aim. Shoot. Give back. 🎯

Friday’s 2nd Annual Clay Shoot Tournament at River Bend Sportsman's Resort was one for the books, full of friendly competition, great people, and a whole lot of impact.

Every shot fired helped support Project Host’s mission—fueling programs that serve, teach, and uplift our community every single day.

We couldn’t do it without our incredible sponsors:
SK Development, VT Concrete, Thomas Concrete, AR Construction Group, AR Cutting & Coring, Duck N Roll Dumpsters, Michelin, and Tovar’s Premium Concrete.

Happy Earth Day from our garden to yours 🌎🌱

Today we celebrate the beauty of growing good things: for our planet, for our community, and for the future. Every seed planted in our garden helps nourish our neighbors and reminds us of the importance of caring for the earth around us. 💛

Something special is cooking this May... 🍽️🔥

We’re so excited to announce our surprise May Community Dinner featuring the incredible Chef Dayna Lee! Raised on her grandmother’s authentic Mexican cooking and inspired by the rich traditions of the Rio Grande Valley, Chef Dayna has built something truly special here in Greenville through Comal 864. From competing on Beat Bobby Flay to being named a James Beard semifinalist, her talent and heart shine through in everything she does.

This one-night-only dinner is more than just an amazing meal — it’s an opportunity to support our culinary students as they gain hands-on experience in a real service setting while bringing people together through the universal language of food.

✨ Tickets are limited and expected to go quickly, so grab yours while you can! We can’t wait to gather around the table with you!
