FSA is strengthening the farm safety net thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts Act that adds up to 30 million new base acres nationwide. Starting June 1, landowners can update and increase base acres in preparation for enrollment in the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs for the 2026 and future crop years.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced a second national deadline for agricultural producers and landowners to apply for fiscal year 2026 assistance in the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP). The deadline to apply is May 29, 2026. NRCS is providing up to $200 million in funding for the application period for agricultural land easements. Submit an application today!

The deadline to apply for USDA Farm Service Agency's General Conservation Reserve Program is rapidly approaching. Applications must be submitted by April 17! CRP is a voluntary program that encourages agricultural producers and landowners to convert highly erodible and other environmentally sensitive acreage to vegetative cover, such as native grasses, trees, and riparian buffers. In return, participants receive annual rental payments.
