💙 **A Message from Kingsbury Park District** 💙

This is one of the hardest posts we've ever had to write.

Due to an unexpected mechanical failure, the William "Bill" Davidson Pool Complex Main Pool and wading pool will be closed for the remainder of the 2026 season. The good news is that our splash pad will remain open for the rest of the season during its normal operating hours, and we hope you'll continue to enjoy that space with your families. The fee will be $2.00 per person.

We are absolutely heartbroken that the main pool won't be open. Summer at the pool isn't just about swimming, it's about cannonballs, swim lessons, pool parties, lifeguards who know your kids by name, afternoon laughter, and making memories with our community.

If you have a scheduled pool party, please bear with us. We know this news is disappointing, and our team will be reaching out to each reservation as quickly as possible to discuss your available options.

We also want to take a moment to recognize our incredible pool staff. ❤️

To our lifeguards, managers, swim lesson instructors, and everyone who helped make this season possible, Thank you! Your professionalism, dedication, positive attitudes, and genuine care for our patrons made this season special. We couldn't be more proud of the team you've built, and we hope you know how much your hard work has meant to our community.

Finally, to our patrons, THANK YOU. Thank you for choosing to spend your summer with us, for trusting us with your families, and for making the William "Bill" Davidson Pool Complex such a special place year after year.

This isn't the way any of us wanted the Main Pool season to end, but we are grateful for your patience, understanding, and continued support of Kingsbury Park District. We'll see you at the Splash Pad!💙

🚫 **Tempered Glass Masks & Goggles Are NOT Permitted at the William "Bill" Davidson Pool Complex** 🚫

For the safety of all our guests, tempered glass swim masks and goggles are prohibited in the pool.

While tempered glass is designed to be stronger than regular glass, it can still shatter if damaged. If glass breaks in the pool, we must immediately close the facility to locate and remove every piece, which may require draining and refilling the pool.

Anyone who brings a tempered glass mask or goggles into the pool and causes a glass break will be held financially responsible for all associated costs, including:**
💧 Draining and refilling the pool
👷 Staff labor and lost wages
🧹 Cleanup and remediation costs
⏰ Any additional expenses required to safely reopen the facility

Before visiting, please check your swim gear. If your mask or goggles are labeled "Tempered Glass" or are designed for snorkeling or scuba diving, please leave them at home.

Weather Delay Update – Thursday, July 9
We are currently under a weather delay and will not be opening at our normal time today.
If we do not hear any additional thunder, the pool is scheduled to open at 1:24 p.m.
