May 2 Drive-Through Rabies Vaccination Clinic Postponed
Low-cost rabies vaccination clinic rescheduled for June 20

PITT COUNTY, N.C. – Pitt County Animal Services (PCAS) has postponed its low-cost rabies vaccination clinic scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026 due to expected adverse weather conditions.

The rescheduled date is Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Pitt County Agricultural Center located at 403 Government Circle, Greenville.

A public notice will be issued in June reviewing clinic details and instructions.

Pitt County to Host 1st Spring Discovery Fair on April 28
Free event to promote wellness activities and seasonal safety

PITT COUNTY, N.C. – On Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Pitt County Emergency Management and Cultural Arts & Recreation will host the County’s first Spring Discovery Fair at the Office Park Cultural Arts & Recreation Center located at 415 Government Circle, Greenville, N.C.

The free event is for Pitt County residents and third through fifth graders attending Pitt County Schools (PCS) located in the North Pitt School District.

“We are expanding the Holiday Safety Fair, held annually in December, by creating this Spring Discovery Fair event,” says Jennifer Lanier Coward, Director, Cultural Arts & Recreation. “The Spring Discovery Fair will encourage PCS third through fifth grade students and area residents to learn about our recreational programs and activities, seasonal safety and wellness. We hope the fair encourages residents of all ages to stay active and enjoy time together in our community spaces.”

Activities will include:
