This Saturday, cadets on the Drill team competed at Stanhope Elmore High School's annual Drill meet. The cadets worked hard, but it was the first drill meet of the year. A heat index warning of 107 degrees was in effect, yet our cadets strove through the struggle. Cadets Colin Mosley and Mitch Blackmon were awarded 1st place for their armed dual performance. Cadet John Lowe was awarded 3rd place for his performance in his armed solo. Cadet Adalyn Let won a medal for 2nd place in individual academic performance. Thank you for your support!

On May 25, 2026, Greenville High School JROTC assisted the Lion Club in presenting the colors for the yearly Memorial Day ceremony. Sadly, this was Colonel Hester's last event with Tiger Battalion. Thanks to CW5 Jason Godwin for his wonderful speech about his time in the military as a Medivac pilot.

I am extremely proud of our Raider Team for their strong performance at the Grissom Raider Competition in Huntsville on September 27th!
We had 22 cadets compete and earn the Raider Team Ribbon, Arc Pin, and black Shoulder Cord!

For many cadets, this was their first ever Raider competition, and for all of them, it was their first time competing in the 1-Rope Bridge event. A highlight of the day was the Mixed Team performing smoothly on that event and cutting more than two minutes off their best practice time.

A huge thank-you to SFC Steve Gaddy for helping this team form, grow, and train over the past six weeks. These cadets definitely returned to Butler County tired but proud!
